Despite being close to 50, Sridevi still continues to look very much in shape. She's glowing and has not lost her good looks. So much so that hubby Boney who's put in oodles of weight looks like a misfit next to her. The odd couple made an appearance at theDadasaheb Phalkeawards which were given out to film personalities on May 4 in Mumbai's Bhaidas Auditorium in suburban Vile Parle. Film producer Surinder Kapoor was one reciepient and hence his sons Boney and Sanjay Kapoor (Anil's in LA which has almost become like his second home thanks to work coming in after Slumdog) and daughter-in-law Sridevi were present.
Sri Devi –who was popularly known in the industry as Thunder Thighs – is all set to make a comeback. She was the reigning queen in the eighties, with hits like Mr. India, Chaalbaaz, Sadma, Laadla, Lamhe, Khuda Gawah etc.
She made a foray on the TV screen as a come back, when she did the Malini Iyer serial for Sahara channel.
On the 24th of February she staged a simply superb performance for the 52nd Filmfare awards function. She danced a medley of the 80’s and was mind blowingly beautiful and graceful.
A sequel to Mr. India is being planned, and Yash Chopra is also planning a movie in which she will star with Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwariya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. Her husband Boney Kapoor is also planning a big movie for her comeback.17 years after Chandni and with two beautiful daughters - Jhanvi and Khushi, Sri Devi has still maintained the charm and glamour that surrounds her persona. For an actor with such flair and talent, which is evident – it would be impossible to keep her away, from the call of the spotlights.
