Reema Sen is the most chilled out actress in Kollywood. Nothing bothers her and she takes things as they come. For the last two years, she has been working on Selvaraghavan’s magnum opus Aayirathil Oruvan, which is now in the post-production stage and will release in July.
Any other heroine would have gone paranoid with a feeling of insecurity and would have signed half-a-dozen films as the Selva project got delayed.
Reasons Reema, “Why get unnecessarily hassled about these trivial things? Every film goes through teething troubles at the production stage and remember, Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan is a big budget extravaganza and I’m very proud of the film. We had to shoot in different locations and at times, due to rain, schedules got washed away, for no fault of the director. All’s well that ends well. Now, the film will release within a few weeks. It was a fantastic learning experience working with Selva and the entire team of Karthi, Parthiban and Andrea.”
In the first week of May, she will come to Chennai for the audio launch of this big budget action adventure. “The songs tuned by G V Prakash are outstanding and are sure fire chartbusters, and the way Selva has picturised them is awesome. I saw some rushes of the film and believe me, the director and cameraman Ramji have made me look really glamorous!”
The buzz is that there is a very hot dance number done by Reema in the film.
About the rumours in the local press that she had signed up to do Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai a three-heroine film with Vishal, Reema explains, “Yes, director Thiru had given me a narration of Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai which sounded interesting. But for purely professional reasons, I’m not doing the film. I hope some time in future I will be able to do the hat-trick film (after Chellame and Thimiru) with Vishal.”
Meanwhile, the actress is all excited about her forthcoming holiday in the US and Canada. Reema concludes by saying, “I had decided to take a long break after I complete Aayirathil Oruvan because I deserve it. I’m off by the middle of May to the US and Canada to take a nice break and chill out. I’m going to Las Vegas to take a look at the casinos there and later, I will be spending time with friends in Toronto. I’m very adventurous by nature.”
