Naturally, Priyanka got intimidated and finally, Ramu had to wrap up the shoot there and shift to a studio to finish the song. Non-Cooperation For 'Magadheera' From Producers Council

It appears that the Producers Council has been coming up with rather revolutionary decisions and many say that this could involve a lot of consequences. Mainly, it is the stand that the council has been taking towards the TV channels when it comes to promoting the films and giving ads.

Sometime back, three big channels - MAA TV, ETV, Gemini TV were banned by the council and they were refrained from being given any film related ads. The council also went further by issuing no invites to these three channels for press meets and other film related events. The cause for this was said to be an expensive tariff quoted by these channels.

Now, even the ZEE Telugu has been joined into this league. Apparently, the channel is said to have mentioned that they were unable to come up with film teasers or ads during the primetime since the fees being given was not working out.

However, sources from the council say that the producers want to give a message that the TV depends on film industry but not vice versa.

Just when this tussle between the Producers Council and the TV channels has been getting hot, a move by film maker Allu Aravind seems to have rubbed salt on the wrong side. Apparently, Allu went ahead and gave the ‘Magadheera’ audio release event live to the MAA TV recently.

As per the industry sources, this has not gone well with the Producers Council and they have now said to have resolved that no support would be given to Allu Aravind in the event of any issue regarding this movie. It is also said that an anti-Allu Aravind group is coming together to come up with stern action due to this.

It is also heard that a motif was issued by the council demanding an explanation but no reply has been received from Aravind.

“Now, this has to be understood that if Allu Aravind faces any problem as producer either with exhibitors or any others, Producers’ Council will not stand for him”, says a birdie.

As it is, Allu has picked up friction in the political front in the PRP camp and now he seems to be picking up few more issues in his own film industry too.

Producer Bellamkonda Suresh is all set to create a sensation with each successive project. His latest film ‘Ride’ was proved a hit. A few days ago, he had announced a film ‘Bhishma’ with Balakrishna as hero under the direction of Ramesh Varma.

Recently, he bagged the remake rights of a successful Tamil film ‘Nadodigal’ by paying a huge sum. The film with friendship in its backdrop with Sasikumar, Vizharu, Bharani, Anan and Neha in the lead roles was proved a hit and it was directed by Samutirakani.

According to reliable information, Raviteja is roped in as hero for this film, while another role in the film was reportedly offered to Allari Naresh. It may be mentioned here that the producer had already announced another film with Raviteja and Krishnavamsi. If, ‘Nadodigal’ remake goes to sets earlier, the film with Krishnavamsi might be delayed a little further. Chances are bright that the director of the original may wield the megaphone for the Telugu version also.

Shooting of climax scenes is in progress for ‘Ek Niranjan’ directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Aditya Ram under the banner of Adityaram Movies.

The speciality of the film is Kangana Ranaut, a popular Bollywood heroine who is making her debut in Tollywood. This is the second film from the powerful director-hero combo, as they have earlier worked for ‘Bujjigadu’.

Recently, the film completed choreography of songs in Switzerland and returned from abroad schedule. The unit again left for Thailand to shoot the climax scenes. It is learnt that the unit stayed there for about a month and almost all the main star cast attended the shooting.

The director prepared the story keeping in mind entertainment and action in its backdrop. Moreover, he had moulded the hero’s character with utmost precision to attract all classes of audiences.

Earlier, a special set was erected exclusively for the film in Hyderabad. Mukul Dev, Makarand Deshpande, Brahmanandam, Ali, Sunil, Venumadhav, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Sangeetha and others are in the cast. Music is by Manisharma, cinematography is by Shyam K Naidu, while the film is being presented and directed by Puri Jagannath.

No fun for Asin - Bollywood Actress

That too, abroad. World recession and the swine flu have spoiled Asin’s fun. She was to travel to Japan to shoot for Bharat Bala’s The 19th Step, but now the twin factors have worked against her trip. Instead, Japanese superstar Tadnobu Asano is expected to join Asin in Kerala where the entire film will be shot.

It’s not as if Papa Joseph preaches. Or that Asin was dying to be out of his influence so that she could do her own thing. But, yes, the Southie hottie had admitted that she was looking forward to going to Japan for fun and work. Will Freida Pinto work with Madhur Bhandarkar?

When the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ girl Freida Pinto expressed her wish to work with Bollywood’s realistic moviemaker, Madhur Bhandarkar, the latter was so flattered with the lady’s desire that he said that he would “love to work with her”.

“I’m quite flattered to hear Freida wants to work with me. I think she is aware of my female-oriented cinema. She must have seen the performances that Tabu and Konkona Sen Sharma gave in Chandni Bar and Page 3. I’d love to work with Freida,” Bhandarkar said.

“Today, I’m at a stage where an actress of Freida’s international popularity singles me out. I guess I must’ve done something right in these 10 years as a director. Can you imagine the kind of potboilers I’d be making if my first film Trishakti had clicked?”

Reportedly, Miss Pinto had expressed this heartfelt desire of hers in an interview to the international press where she said that she would do a Bollywood film only if it was a Bhandarkar film.

Kat shows John claws

We got to know that John Abraham and Katrina Kaif were involved in some tu-tu-main-main while shooting the climax of their forthcoming film.

A unit member said, “It was a very difficult scene to co-ordinate. What irritated Katrina further were John’s remarks on the set.

They got into a major argument. That put her off! Katrina just stormed off the set.” Thankfully, the shoot had to be called off that day.

Kabir Khan had to cancel the shoot because of bad weather, but that really helped,” said our source. Kat had cooled off the next day and the shoot resumed again.


Katrina’s boyfriend Salman Khan would be more than happy to hear this. Sometime back rumors were rife that Salman keeps a tab on Katrina’s life and phone bills. He was quite upset with the reports about Katrina bonding with her New York co-star John Abraham.

If rumors are to be believed, Salman actually threw Katrina’s stuff out of his home because he didn’t like the idea of Katrina being friendly with his foe, John.

Bipasha though was not surprised with the rumors and termed it as bizarre.

I will never do a film for money: Katrina

Actress Katrina Kaif, who has made a mark in Bollywood with her stunning good looks, says that she will never do a film for money.

The 24-year-old actress, whose earnings support her family of seven sisters, said there are times when she feels that she needs the money being offered to do a particular film. “I am in a panic situation. But, If I succumb to such pressures, I know the audience will not respect me,” said Katrina.

Katrina, who made her debut in Bollywood with box-office disaster Boom has not looked back since finding success with Akshay Kumar starrer Namaste London. Looking back at her career Katrina says that she considers her journey so far in the industry as a learning experience.

Deepika Padukone: 'It's not an item song in Telugu'

After her item song with SRK in Billu, Deepika Padukone is preparing for another item song in a South film. Titled Love 4ever, the Telugu film is directed by Jayant.

The song will appear with the opening credits.

Deepika explains why she agreed to do the song, "I heard the song and really liked the concept. The film doesn't have big stars but two newcomers, and I agreed to be a part of the film for their sake.

Not so long ago, I was in the same position a newcomer getting ready to face my audience. And if I can add to this film in some way, then why not?"

The song is being choreographed by Ahmed Khan and will be shot at a Hyderabad studio. Deepika adds, "I have worked with Ahmed for Bachna Ae Haseeno's Khuda Jaane track, where he did a brilliant job. This will be the second time we are coming together." But she still hasn't figured out the look for the song."

She takes pain to stress that her appearance should not be treated like an 'item song', "It's a situational song and takes the story ahead. The film opens with it. So obviously, it leads to the plot starting where the song ends. I am a South Indian and I think this is a great opportunity for me to connect to my fanbase there," concludes the Bangalore girl.

Raveena will now be seen cackling on Chhote Miyan Chapter two. This is for the second time she is dealing with kids on the reality show. She gets candid with media and shares the thrill of being on the children’s Reality show.

What excited you about the show?

I am more excited about this show because I have been following the last season and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kids are not complicated, they are innocent, brutally frank and they only speak the truth. In fact they do not have any hidden agenda to create controversy and gain TRPs, as we have been seeing in other shows.

You have judged reality shows with children as well as with grown-ups in the past, how different it is to deal with children?

While you are judging children you have to be a parent figure first. We make sure that we are only encouraging these kids and also see to it that our verdicts help them in getting better and better. We do take care that the child is not disheartened by whatever we say. As it will be the lasting impression for their life time we have to be very calm with them.

What kind of verdict will be coming from you?

I will say whatever will come right from my heart at that very moment. I never give prepared speeches.

Last two shows that you have judged were based on dancing and singing. What according to you is more difficult?

I believe making others laugh is tougher than dancing and singing. As an entertainer you have to make your audience forget their sorrows and laugh with you. It is challenging for seasoned artiste as well. If an artiste can do this successfully it is reward in itself. I would say I am honoured to be given a privilege to judge these talented kids.

Is it easy to make you laugh?

It is difficult to make me laugh because I laugh more on my own self than on others.

But Raveena here you are paid to laugh…

Best part of the reality show is that we get to wear the best clothes…best jewelry…great looks…and get paid to criticize someone else.

Would you like to try stand up comedy?

No because I have worked with the king of comedy Govinda and nobody on this earth can beat him.

How is the tuning with co-judges on the show?

Sachinji is veteran in this industry, he will be always above us and Rahul is like younger brother. I keep pulling his leg all the time. I’m sure it’s going to be fun.

How do you plan your comeback in films?

I have recently signed a film. I want to take my work slow and easy as my kids are still small. I am also choosy about my work because at this stage of my career I don’t need to be in news for the heck of it.

What is the secret of your well maintained physique?

I am very hands-on parents I like to bring up my children on my own. If you run behind two kids’ day in day out you tend to loose weight.

You said once that Kareena reminds you of your time; tell us precisely about the connection?

I have seen Kareena growing. She is very self-willed person; she does what she wants and does not bend to people’s expectations. She has electrifying screen presence. I think it is very good to be in the industry without loosing yourself.
